Elmer Clark

Veteran of WWII

Elmer Dugald Clark, of Durham, passed away at Serenity Place, Durham on Thursday, March 24th, 2022 in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Rose Clark (nee White). Dear father of Ralph Clark and his wife Donna, Ross Clark and his wife Jean, Heather and her husband Steve Wright, Dwight Clark and his wife Shirley, Jake Clark, and Laurie and her husband Ralph Paylor. Fondly remembered by his 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his infant son John, his daughter-in-law Heather, his brother Bryson, his sister Rena Hastie, his nephew Ronnie Hastie, and his niece Jean Hastie.

Elmer was very involved in the community; he served on the Town of Durham council, was involved with the PUC, a trustee with the local school board, a 75 year member and Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 308 and was a recipient of Meritorious Service Medal for serving on the executive for 45 - 50 years and was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #306.

A funeral service celebrating Elmer's life will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, March 28th at 2:30 p.m. Masks are recommended and we encourage you to confirm your attendance. The video will remain posted for viewing afterwards. Spring interment at Durham Cemetery.
