Virgil McNabb

Virgil Alfred McNabb, of Durham, passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener on Thursday, July 21st, 2022 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Jean McNabb (nee Frook). Loving father of Rhonda Lantz, Rodney McNabb and his wife Gail, Randy McNabb and his wife Vicki, and Kristi and her husband Adam Acres. Cherished grandfather of Daryl and Amanda, Darcy and Leigh, Kelsey and Justin, Denika, Taylor, Kyle and Jessica, Chantelle and Brandon, Danielle, Mitchell and Chelsea, Zachary, and Benjamin. Great-grandfather of Wyatt, Colton, and Roree. Dear brother of Donna and her husband Jim Griscti, Udell and her husband Murray Gonder, and Darlene Vondette and her husband Bob Levely.  Brother-in-law of Rick Frook and his wife Lou-Ann, and Bernice Frook.  Predeceased by his son-in-law Gary Eagles, his granddaughter Angel Acres and his brother-in-law Don Frook.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Monday, July 25th from 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Virgil’s life will be held at the Durham Legion, 271 Bruce Street North, Durham on Tuesday at 11 a.m., with visitation prior to the service from 10 – 10:45 a.m. In true Virgil spirit, the family asks that you “come as you are”, casual attire is welcome at the visitation and at the service. Private interment at Durham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Parkinson Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
