Beatrix Black

Beatrix Black (nee Braun), of RR#2 Priceville, passed away at Chapman House, Owen Sound on Saturday, February 11th, 2023 in her 74th year. Beloved wife of Charles Black. Loving mother of Malcolm Black and his wife Valerie, Andrew Black and his partner Kira, Sharon Black, and Nancy and her husband Len Bryant. Cherished grandmother of Anthony and his husband Robert, Christopher and his wife Saane, Colin, Micailyn, Tyler, Julia, and Charlie. Dear sister of Heidi Kaiser, Bridget Bierhals, Monika and her husband Helmut Foertsch, and Mary and her husband Paul MacMillan. Dear sister-in-law of Ann and Ralph Hollis, and Carol Black. Predeceased by her brother Conrad Braun, her sister Judy Guerris, and her daughter-in-law Mary Tilker-Black. 

Cremation will take place. Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Friday, February 17th from 4 – 7 p.m. A memorial mass will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church, Concession 4, Priceville on Saturday, February 18th at 11 a.m. Spring interment of cremated remains at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. 

A heartfelt thank you to the exceptional doctors, nurses, volunteers and staff at Chapman House. We cannot thank them enough for the care, kindness and empathy given to our Mother and our family. We are grateful and blessed to have such an outstanding service available to our community. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Chapman House (cheques payable to Grey Bruce Hospice Inc.) would be appreciated by the family.
