Ed Hotchkiss

Passed away at Rockwood Terrace, Durham, one day after his 80th birthday on Friday, November 6th, 2009. Edwin David Hotchkiss was beloved husband of the late Dureen (McNally) Hotchkiss. Loving Papa of Linda and her husband David Mighton of Durham, and Rick Hotchkiss of Exeter and his friend Shirley Matt. Special Papa of Joshua Avery and his wife Tonia, Quintin Mighton, Leah Mighton, Kara Hotchkiss and Keene Hotchkiss. Great-grandpa of Jacob and Luke Avery. Ed will be sadly missed by his sisters; Mary Horsburgh, Tootie Bye, Irene and her husband Leonard Thompson, Violet Moore; and by his sisters-in-law: Ruth Hotchkiss and Mildred Hotchkiss. Special uncle of Cindy Hoefsloot and Brenda Santalucia. Predeceased by his brothers; Bill Hotchkiss, Fred Hotchkiss, and Cecil Hotchkiss; his sister, Edna Theodorf and by his son-in-law Cecil Avery.

A Celebration of Ed's Life will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment at Durham Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
