Ray Brown

Raymond Elmer Brown, of Durham, passed away on Friday, August 11^th, 2023 in his 74^th year.  Beloved husband of Ann (nee McAfee).  Loving father of Susanne “Susie” and her husband Charlie Payne.  Cherished grandfather of Kelseigh, Kaila (Randy), Brayden, Skyler, Lola, LeeAnne (Steven), and Zach (Paige).  Great-grandfather of Amelia, Ryker, and Matthew.  Dear brother of Darlene and her husband Lloyd Robison, and Timothy Brown and his partner Lynn.  Brother-in-law of Doreen, Betty, Nancy, and Tracey.  Predeceased by his first wife Bonnie (nee Hall), his parents Elmer and Verna Brown, his parents-in-law Bert and Phyllis McAfee, and by his brothers Daniel, Richard and David Brown. 

Cremation will take place. A casual come and go celebration of Ray’s life will be held at Foursquare Gospel Church, Durham on Friday, September 15th from 2 - 4 p.m.  Private interment of cremated remains at Markdale Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
